Boosting Responsive Action for Child Empowerment (B.R.A.C.E)
Boosting Responsive Action for Child Empowerment (B.R.A.C.E) is a community driven initiative to respond to the needs of Syrian youth and children. BRACE began as a group of volunteers in Syria seeking to empower the next generation through mentorship and support, and grew to a network present in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Germany, Norway, and France. As the war conditions have extensively harmed Syria’s youth, BRACE attempts to create a sense of community, provide youth a voice, enhance child targeted response, and empower the next generation with information, awareness, and necessary skills. Charity programs are abundant in the response to the Syrian crisis, but youth centered empowerment activities are limited, although extremely necessary.
تعزيز الاستجابة الانسانية لتمكين الطفل
بريس هي مبادرة مجتمعية لتقوية وتشجيع الاستجابة الإنسانية لاحتياجات الأطفال و اليافعين السوريين. بدأت (بريس) بمجموعة من المتطوعين في سورية الذين يسعون لتمكين الجيل القادم عبر التوجيه و الدعم ثم نمت هذه المبادرة لتبني شبكة عمل في في سورية، تركيا، لبنان، الأردن، ألمانيا، النرويج و فرنسا. وكما كان للحرب آثارا مدمرة على الأطفال و اليافعين السوريين فإن (بريس) تحاول جاهدة أن توجد إحساساً بالانتماء لمجتمع ما لديهم و تعطيهم صوتاً مؤثراً و تحسن الاستجابة الإنسانية التي تستهدفهم و تمكن الجيل القادم بالمعرفة و الوعي و المهارات الضرورية. يوجد الكثيرمن البرامج الاغاثية التقليدية التي استجابت للوضع الكارثي في سورية و لكن التركيز على تمكين الشباب و اليافعين كان محدوداً مع أهميته البالغة.
